Teaching approach

Technique through meaningful music.

Theory is taught as a practical musical language rather than a collection of disconnected rules. Lessons connect written work, listening, analysis, performance, and creativity so students understand both how a concept works and why it matters.

Practice expectations

Practice grows with the student.

Assignments are adjusted to the student’s level, with an emphasis on consistent daily playing and gradual growth.

Written work

Complete focused exercises that reinforce the concepts introduced during each lesson.

Listening and analysis

Identify theory concepts in assigned examples and in music the student already knows and performs.

College preparation

Students following the comprehensive pathway build fluency through regular review, cumulative assignments, and increasingly advanced analysis.
