Teaching approach
Technique through meaningful music.
Technique is developed through thoughtfully selected music rather than separated into endless, mundane drills. Reading, theory, chord knowledge, and musical expression grow together through repertoire that gives each skill a clear musical purpose.
Practice expectations
Practice grows with the student.
Assignments are adjusted to the student’s level, with an emphasis on consistent daily playing and gradual growth.
Play each assigned song three to five times each day. The number of repetitions gradually increases as the student develops.
Practice about 10 minutes every day, gradually increasing the length of each practice session.
Practice about 20 minutes every day.
Practice about 40 minutes every day.
